The
most beloved offering for Amma is the "CHATHUSSATHA NIVADIYAM",
a pudding in liquid form which is made from a unique number of
items say 101 coconuts, 101 balls of sugar candy, 101 nazhi(typical
quantity to measure rice) rice and 101 kadalipazhzm(a type of
banana used in temples).
The
other important offerings of the temple are Dwadasaksharimanthraarchana,
Ena Pudava Charthal, Veliyothu, Kalabam Charthal etc. Dwadasaksharimanthraarchana
is an Archana using "Santhi DurgaMantram". Ena Pudava
Chartal is the dressing of Amma with "Ena Pudava" which
is special type of double cloath. This is done for marriage. Veliyothu
is an archana using a manthram in Veda also done for marriage.
Kalabam Charthal is the smearing of Amma using "Kalabam"
i.e. sandalwood made in to paste form.
